Tonight Mom and I had our annual "Anniversary of our Arrival to Alaska" nostalgia dinner at the Marx Brothers. Peter joined us and we had a great time pouring over momentos from 1965. Certainly the most entertaining items were Mom's calendars from that time - she was very busy socially. So has anyone under the age of 60 in Anchorage heard of Pal Joey's? Evidently it was a great little bar - the Irish Setter (ugh) is now located where Pal Joey's used to be.

37 years in Alaska today! In 1965, Mom and I drove up to Alaska from Denver in a little red VW named Henry. Below is a rather lamely executed, but well-intentioned collage of pictures from our trip. (I need to take a class in Photoshop)
