We had a great book club meeting tonight at Scott and Barbara Digerts'. This month's book was The Razor's Edge by Somerset Maugham. I really enjoyed the book - much more than I had expected. It is a masterwork of simple but elegant character development over a span of decades. Modern day authors could learn a thing or two from him.

From the book:

The sharp edge of a razor is difficult to pass over
Thus the wise say the path to Salvation is hard...

So I think I just discovered a hidden (at least to me) feature of Radio. In the entry below, I put double quotes around the word bosoms. Radio seems to have taken those double quotes and looked for a story with the same title. It found the Bosoms story and turned bosoms into a hot link.

Oooh - this has to be one of my favorite Googles hits on the Slat Rat Chronicles. Imagine this Arabic speaking individual's surprise when he discovered that Bosoms is our household nickname for the BoSox (Boston Red Sox).
