Okay. Okay. I get the hint.
Roller Skiing is bad. It makes us wimpy Chronic Fatigue/Fibro folks sick. I will not roller ski again until I check in with Dr. Bateman on what's going on with the rather odd Slat Rat physiology.
I've been sick for the past two days with swollen lymph glands and a swollen neck. My neck isn't super swollen - it just doesn't look like its newly-post-fifteen-pound-weight-loss svelte self. Instead it looks its former chubster self. And it is sore.
Whatever it is I have started this weekend. I thought it was just the usual CFS-I-can't-get-out-of-bed thing. But evidently it was Mr. Virus moving in his stuff. Hopefully he won't be staying long.
My chiropractor has been a life saver. I went in to see her on Tuesday when jaw got all whacked out with TMJ. Our theory is the swollen glands caused me to do some serious jaw clinching in my sleep. Anyhoo, she worked the TMJ on Tuesday and I felt much better. She re-worked it yesterday and also did a lymph node drain on the several somewhat engorged neck nodes. The drain is not a happy experience, but the nodies certainly feel better afterwards!
I also saw a GP yesterday. He was nice enough but the visit was a waste of time. I need to make a serious effort to find a GP that I can see on a regular basis, understands that I'm not a medical rookie, and gets the fact that I occasionally get weird stuff. Most of my stuff requires a specialist but even us CFS/Fibro folks get viral and bacterial infections. That's when GP's come in handy.
Well anyway - I really think the intensity of roller skiing, even "easy" roller skiing for a week, compromised my immune system. So, It's bike riding, golf, yoga, and walking until I see Dr. Bateman.
