What a Great Movie! The Harry Potter movie is absolutely great!!!!! Cauron did a fantastic job - the movie is delightfully dark, the actors really get to strut their stuff, and the special effects blend right into the movie. It really is wonderful. I will say that the 8 year old sitting next to me got very very scared near the end of the movie. The Dementors and the Werewolf are definitely tough scary duty for little kids. Cuaron did not pull any punches. This is not a light hearted movie. I loved the Hippogriff! Peter and I agree that Clemmie is a Hippogriff in disguse. Same vocalizations, same fixation on treats, same smart loyality. A very noble, but somewhat goofy, beast indeed. 10:40:48 PM    comment []

HPIII We muggles of the Partnow Manse are very excited - we have tickets to tonight's 7:30 PM showing of the new Harry Potter movie. I haven't been this excited about a movie in a long time. I can't wait to see Alfonso Cuaron's take on Harry Potter. I just loved his Mexican coming of age film, Y Tu Mama Tambien. 1:18:40 PM    comment []
