Gads. I'm in the midst of the worst allergy attack I've had in 30 years. Yesterday, at around 3:00 PM, I started sneezing and couldn't stop. It was brutal. I managed to bring things under a minimal control a few hours later, with cold medicine, but was still pretty miserable. It wasn't until last night, when I took cold medicine with an antihistamine, that I finally got a bit of relief.
I'm allergic to just about every pollen in Alaska. But I keep things under tight control with clarinex, bi-weekly allergy shots, and flovent (an inhaled steroid). So, I don't get allergy attacks. But, in this case, I think I was done in by my travel schedule. I was gone for most of May and when I arrived back in town on Friday afternoon - every single May Day tree was in full flowery bloom. I think my defenses succumbed to a massive sudden assault.
I've been sneezing so hard, that I pulled several muscles in my back. Ugh...
