Saturday night, Peter's law partner, Brewster and his wife Cheryl hosted an engagement party for us. It was absolutely great - Peter and I were completely and totally wowed!!!! What a wonderful and generous gesture!
Within the first half hour of the party, something dawned on me - I knew absolutely everyone there. It felt so strange - that never happens. I guess that's part of the whole engagement-wedding thing - you as the couple, become the center of attention. It's quite striking. Peter and I are not used to that sort of thing. It was kind of fun though - it was just so nifty that everyone was so happy and pleased about the upcoming nuptials.
