About a month and a half ago, I got the brilliant idea that our wedding invitations ought to be handmade. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but fortunately for me, I've got some wonderful artist friends that took my idea and ran with it.
Our invitation is a sort of multi-layer creation that involves lots of folding and lots of brightly colored pieces of paper. Nothing simple here! Obviously, with an invitation that complex, a folding party was required. So, Thursday evening a group of creative paper whiz's gathered to fold. We made our way through about a 1/3 of the invites. We've got another eighty to fold. I hope to complete the project and get the invites out by the weekend.
It has been a total production. But I do have to say, it's been a hoot!
It's a folding party! From left going clockwise: Laurie, Susan, Pete, Tyge, Cheri, Peter, Alan, and Mom. Everyone certainly seems to be focused on the job at hand. Of course, the job at hand varies for different folks. For example, Tyge is focused on the piece of chicken that's in Cheri's hand!

Sticker Dog!!!! Caroline was in the other room manning the high tech paper cutter. We're of course using snazzy handmade paper which is sold by the sheet and each sheet has a sticker on it. Tyge happened to be standing by Caroline when she was peeling off stickers and his butt was a very convienent height.
