I was just sitting here in my chair, puttering about on the computer when we got hit with a nice jolt and about a fifteen second shake. My guess is that it was either about a 4.8 or a 4.0 if the quake was shallow and we were parked right on top of the epicenter.

This word just in: the Answer is: 4.7!

The Tsunami Warning Center now has a nifty little graphic dispay with accompanying info:

2006/06/18 19:53:25 (UTC)
Preliminary Magnitude: 4.7
Latitude: 61.974 Longitude: -150.275
Location: 25 miles SW of Talkeetna, Alaska
