My current uptime for the TiBook is almost eleven days; I last restarted due to a System Update. It worked flawlessly with the wireless access point (LinkSys) and the router (LinkSys as well) when I installed that last week.
Ditto the Lombard (OS9) with its Orinoco—we had an AirPort BaseStation that broke a while back—though it took more configuration, but since it had originally been configured, it was just a matter of selecting the proper TCP/IP and AppleTalk settings and turning on the AirPort.
Edward’s Toshiba with its new Linksys wireless card is not faring so well. I may have scroggled the driver installation, though I swore I followed the directions. His tower Mac upstairs should be able to connect up, since it had connected to the AP Base, but he ditched the settings during a reinstall of the OS 9, so I must e-mail him the setup. Or print them out. He will not put in OS X. Understandable.

Posting, but necessarily not publishing, from Atlantic City. I am here to evaluate the feasibility of commuting from here rather than Edison to Philadelphia.
Practicing DB2 and QALoad on the Dell laptop given me. I really don’t like using it. It’s even more clunky and hard-to-use than the workstations in the office. The low-power mode (what MacOSX calls sleep) is hard for me to distinguish from powered-off. On Wednesday morning, there was no way to coerce it into sleep, so I had to turn the blasted machine off. Carrying two laptops to work on Tuesday was a bi...g problem, so I’ve just been bringing the monster.
