This is an old but fairly well-maintained site. Winchell Chung’s 3-D Starmap page has a lot of amateur information on how to convert star catalog data (such as the Gliese and Hipparcos catalogs) into three-dimensional coordinates, suitable for modeling, and, if the fancy (or the big fat leisure stick) strikes you, racing and crashing into each other.

Vroom!

Enjoy all that ancient history stuff but can’t stand all that verification, method, scholarly integrity, and academic rigor crap? One corner of Julia Hayden’s The Ancient World Web is devoted to Alternative Theories.

My weblog owns 31.25 % of me.
Does your weblog own you?
[courtesy of weblog wannabe I think.]
