Googling for Richard Allan was not only humbling, it was also instructive. Richard A. Bartle, creator of the game upon which Andrew Plotkin’s Spellcast X11 game is based, has the middle name Allan as well. He uses Richard Allan as a pseudonym for certain stories he writes as well.
