Lt. Doug Edwards continues to provide interesting insights into law enforcement in Orem with his daily crime reports.  Here's one from this week:

Officers arrested 23-year-old Shahab Adel, of Orem, yesterday afternoon after it was reported that he was running through the hallways of his apartment building yelling unintelligibly and obviously suffering from severe paranoia. This is the second time in as many weeks that we've responded to this type of complaint with Mr. Adel. This time, he was certain that he'd seen someone come into his apartment and wanted the officers to search for a stranger. Officers went in to look - no boogie man there, only cocaine and drug paraphernalia out in plain view. That might explain the paranoia. Mr. Adel went to jail on the drug charges.

Following hours of debate, last night the Orem city council voted to join UTOPIAAl Bonnyman reports on upcoming UTOPIA hearings in Roy, Taylorsville, Murray, and Riverton.
