Most of the manned space program really isn't science, but that doesn't stop a few interesting things from being done.

Don Pettit recently started to investigate thin soap films in microgravity. He started with a dry run and found, to his amazement, that you can easily make large films of pure water. It isn't too surprising that you have stability, but it goes counter to what you expect to see.
