All over the world - today and tomorrow - demonstrations will be held to stop the atrocities in Lebanon and Gaza, also in Holland.

LATimes: "Israeli forces killed 33 agricultural workers Friday in northeast Lebanon in a wave of airstrikes that also pierced the country's Christian heartland for the first time and severed its last major highway link to the outside."

MiddleEastOnline: "Palestinians accuse Israel of using new bombs that cause burn injuries never seen before."

Independent: "Of the 615 people so far confirmed dead in Lebanon, Save The Children says that almost half are children. They make up one third of the 3,225 injured, and about 45 per cent of the nearly one million Lebanese refugees are under the age of 18, according to Unicef."

UNICEF: "The United Nations humanitarian agencies working in the occupied Palestinian territory are deeply alarmed by the impact continuing violence is having on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza, which has resulted in a sharp decline in the humanitarian situation facing 1.4 million people, more than half of them children. We are concerned that with international attention focusing on Lebanon, the tragedy in Gaza is being forgotten. We estimate that since 28 June, 175 Palestinians have been killed, including approximately 40 children and eight women, and over 620 injured in the Gaza Strip."

MotherJones: "The Guardian reported over the weekend that Blair's cabinet is in 'open revolt' over his support for Israel's invasion of Lebanon, revealing for the first time that 'at a cabinet meeting before Blair left for last Friday's Washington summit with President George Bush, minister after minister pressed him to break with the Americans and publicly criticise Israel over the scale of death and destruction'."

Rabble: "The Jewish Women's Committee to End the Occupation is a voice for peace in the Middle East along with other Jewish and Palestinian women's groups in North America and Israel.
We in Canada are outraged that the Canadian Government and media again choose a morally unconscionable position and stand by silently while Israel perpetrates a massacre of civilians in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. It is a repeat of Sabra and Shatilla, of the massacre at Qana in 1996, with the world leaders looking on."

CASMII: "Israel's ongoing and indiscriminate bombing of every village, road, bridge and other infrastructure, which has so far killed over 900 people, many of them children, and displaced another million has forged a remarkable unity among both politicians as well as the entire Lebanese population, whether Christian, Sunni or Shia. Those who may have rejected Hezbollah at the outset of this crisis, are now unanimously behind it."

Is Israel engaged in genocide and ethnic cleansing? Have they realised that they are up against the whole surrounding population of the Middle East and are therefor aiming at women and children? Is Israel planning a holocaust in the name of the nazi holocaust?
