If you said 'Yes', you may now be in a most unfortunate bind. Because it turns out that making a bomb out of acetone and hydrogen peroxide is a much more difficult, hazardous and time-consuming feat than anything one could possibly do on an airplane. Last Wednesday's (August 23) piece, 'To Mix The Impossible Bomb', describes in some detail just how impossible it would be to make such a bomb on a plane, and illustrates the barrage of apparently meaningless (or time-managed) stories that seemed to be squeezing this particularly lurid tale out of the major British media schedule."

FAS: "The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) can be used to monitor U.S. persons who engage in unlawful collection of classified or controlled information even if they are not acting on behalf of a foreign power.
And what are 'unlawful clandestine intelligence activities'?
Although the phrase 'clandestine intelligence gathering activities' is not defined in FISA, such 'activities' would include, for example, 'collection or transmission of information or material that is not generally available to the public'."
Would that mean that only officially published government information is legal? And everything else is illegal samizdat?
