Yarn Fairy visitation

Look what the Yarn Fairy left on our front porch this morning:

Our neighbors are helping an elderly friend move into assisted living and discovered an entire box of needlepoint wool purchased at Younker's of Des Moines for .29 a skein. Knowing that I'm a stash ho, they left it for me. I'm assuming you can knit with needlepoint yarn; it's a bit scratchy, but would make a cool "denim" bag. Any thoughts?

Fear factor update: Finished the two sleeves and attached the shoulders last night. Only two pockets, button bands and a collar to go. Can she do it?

The first sign of spring: Rowan's spring/summer mag showed up in the mail yesterday. Some delightful designs; makes you want to take out a second mortgage to buy yarn. I'm dying to knit this. And this one is just too cute for words. That Kim Hargreaves, she slays me.

General whining: Ladies, I need a good novel to read. Something really yummy and rich. Help!
