Musings on the Must-Have Cardi

Progress report: Those of you who are knitting (or have knit) Paton's Must-Have cardigan, know that it's not a slam dunk. Putting the sweater down and picking it up again requires time to get back into the zone--that hypnotic space where the cables, diamonds and twisty bits seem to knit themselves. The warm-up phase elicits much swearing and tinking as in: Why the f*ck does that moss stitch look like ribbing? Or sh*t fire! I twisted that diamond again. Have the rest of you experienced this? Or do I just suck?
Regardless of suckage, I've finished the back and one sleeve (pictured above) and I'm zooming up the second arm. ETA: When donkeys fly. (Watching me knit this thing is like watching paint dry.)
Daily rant: Ralph Nader is an asshole. (I'm sorry, I know that's not an argument, but it's all I've got this morning.) Just when you start to glimpse the possibility of a Democratic White House, Mr. Nader decides he needs to be heard. Is this the height of narcissism or what? Sure, it's his right. Yes, he should be true to himself, but not at the expense of 250 million Americans. Find another forum, Corvair Boy, some of us aren't listening.
