Thursday Miscellanea
Alpaca Extravaganza: Those of you who live in or near the environs of Boulder, Colo. may want to sneak a peak at the Alpaca Extravaganza, Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, Feb. 29 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Yummy 'pacas will be on hand groomed like big poodles, their hair fluffed up in big, airy clouds. (If you've never seen one, click here. Aren't they sweet?)
There will be plenty of alpaca swag to be had along with knit and woven goods, rovings and yarn.
Mr. Pink: Have fallen swooningly in love (again) with the color pink. Hot pink, petal pink, Good-and-Plenty pink. Doesn't matter. What's your favorite pink yarn? Lipstick? Shoe?
Knit for the Homeless: The Shivering Sheep & Coppelia's Needlepoint are hosting the Knit for the Homeless event through April. Each Sunday, knitters gather at the Cherry Creek North store, at 231 Milwaukee St., to knit scarves and hats. 303-320-7776.
Ralph Don't Run: Not that I have anything against third party candidates--voted for one once myself--but now is certainly not the time for Mr. Nadar to use a race for the presidency as a forum for his ideas. We need all good lefties to get behind the Anybody But Bush movement. Check out the Ralph Don't Run site.)
