Mouse in the House

Last class: Tonight is the last time my Weekend Knits class meets. I've adored teaching it--with the excepting of completely fubarring some instructions. We've covered two cast ons--long-tail and cable--diagonal knitting, yarn overs, gauge and this evening we're tackling beginning cables and picking up stitches. The class is for advanced beginners to get them over the scarf hump and in to meatier projects that are still quick and not wildly expensive. Each week knitters had a project--a bag, a scarf, a tank top (they got three weeks for the tank) and now they can choose between a cabled mouse (thanks Wendy!) or knitted on sock/glove cuff. The goal: Completion and technique acquisition.
Need a quickie gift? Simply take a microscopic crochet hook and pick up some store-bought stitches. Just add a little Whimsey (Ironstone) or Aura (Trendsetter) and ta da, happy recipient!

I'll miss youse guys! It's been swell.
