Fashion week: It's Fashion Week and I'm knitting gender-neutral baby clothes. I wanna knit cool, girly vintage pieces too! There's Marc Jacobs with his wonderful '30s-inspired sweaters. Carolina Herrera and her proper little tweed suits. Alice Roi, who does wonderful things with black and grey. And here we sit cabling our way into oblivion. Heretical thought: I was thumbing through the spring JJill catalog--it's been a good mail week with Interweave Knits, Rowan's spring magazine and the Vanity Fair Oscar issue showing up in the mail drop--and this thought crossed my mind: For $58, I can buy a pretty pink sweater I don't have to knit. Hmmmm. Just throwing it out there.
