It's come to this.

Eek! Crochet!

Of Froozles: Yesterday I went walking with my friend the Garlic Queen (she has a real name, it's Susan, the GQ derives from her days as a restaurant publicist and I find the moniker is irresistible, so there it is) and the discussion turned naturally to needlework. She's a free-range crocheter, autodidact, no patterns, will hook anything that pops to mind. Lately, she's been churning out a line of bags called Froozles, see one above. Darling, eh? (Time to trademark the term, dear. It's out in the blogverse now.) The very fine Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities gift shop carries them. She also displayed a fabulous summer stole she's hooking in peachy ice cream colors. Delightful how crocheters are reclaiming the craft from this

Ladies, take back the hook!
