Tuesday Miscellany
1. On pedometers: A few of you have asked where you can get a pedometer. All major sporting goods stores carry them. One woman I met recently got hers from a box of Cheerios. I ordered mine from www.americaonthemove.org. My first pedometer (a Sportline) was a fancy, feature-laden model that calculated steps, time, miles and calories, but timed out if you stopped moving for five seconds. After long walks, I'd check my steps then find myself shouting, "You lying piece of sh*t." I like my cheap little Accusplit better. It doesn't fib.
2. Tahki Spring 2004 patterns: The new Tahki book is too cool for school. I'm nuts about this...

Do you think she's wearing Anti-panties?
View Tahki's other spring whimsies here.
Anti-panti: Make your thong be gone (and make room in the landfills). Apparently the Anti-panti is the perfect solution for those days when the low-riders come out and you must face this burning conundrum: Which pair of panties won't peak out above my waistband? The Anti-panti is an adhesive-backed cotton disc--currently comes in camo, leopard, plaid and checked patterns--designed to protect your jeans from you and you from your jeans. I say, "Ewwww."
We assume they're disposable.
Coloradans, time to caucus: Here in Colorado we don't have a primary. And though it seems rather late and besides the point to caucus, it's not. The state caucus process starts the selection of delegates to the national conventions and is a great way to meet neighbors and have a grassroots say. So Colorado Dems, out you go. Republicans too, I guess. Our caucus is tonight, 7 p.m. If you're a Dem, you can find your caucus location here.
