Huh?

The path of continuous improvement

Bibliotheca: In the ongoing effort to learn new stuff, I acquired the above. An oldie but a goodie, the Reader's Digest Knitter's Handbook holds the secrets to all manner of knitting arcana. Like how and why to use a double-twist loop cast-on or how one might be served by using a closed eyelet increase. Fascinating. This instruction intrigued me particularly: "Beginners may find (the) Italian cast-on (and, even more, simplified cast-on) easier and less painful--no thumb prodding."

Am I the only one to think that sounds dirty?
