For those of you attending the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, shear this!

I ain't got no body...
Big Wool: The above fleece took Shrek the Ram of New Zealand six years to amass. The rogue ram was captured hiding in a cave after having been on the lam from his flock all these years. When champion shearer Peter Casserly finished Shrek's do, the ovine barber trimmed a remarkable 60.5 lbs of fine merino fleece from the shivering sheep. The fleece is up for auction with proceeds going to benefit New Zealand's "Cure Kids" cancer campaign-- www.shrekauction.co.nz.
Putting it out there: I'm interested in writing an article about friendships formed through blogs (of course, I feel that way about many of you). These stories need to have a narrative arc; in other words, I'm looking for people whose lives have changed significantly as a result of their "blogships." I need non-knitting friendships especially, women in their late 20's to early 40's. Any takers? (Interesting isn't it, how you can worry about your blog friends when they're anguished and you've never even spoken?)
