I would like to thank the academy
They like me, they really like me: I was going to display shots of the Must Have--all seamed and trussed like a tidy little turkey, but I may redo my I-cord edging. (I'm fretting about the ripply bands. Can I just kill the fabric and be done with it? Or do you just reknit ad infinitem until you get it right?) I now have my heart set on "stacked I-cord"--true insanity, which involves multiple sets of applied I-cord knitted one on top of the other. My first set looks a bit wonky and may have to go. The second set will provide much-needed coverage around the neck. Will there be a third? Stay tuned for further installments of I-cord Idiocy!
Bored yet?
Drum roll, please. I got me a blog award! Adelle Tilton, who manages the knitting section of Suite 101, is giving Best Blog of the Month awards. (Suite 101 is a commercial online publishing and education site with poop on everything from Making Gift Baskets to Mormon Parenting.) Every month she will review a blog and honor the reviewee with the BBOM Award. This month it went to yours truly. Read all about me here. My chest is all puffed up (C-cup, thank you very much!)

Thanks, Adelle!
Daily kudos: Hail, the DU Pioneers! NCAA ice hockey champions! My alma mater. Sniff!
