Kerry takes the bait
I guess John Kerry decided that since tossing out spurious allegations about the President has worked so well for Howie D, that he'd give it a whirl"The issue here is, as I have heard it raised, is was he present... [Silent Running]

Religion of Peace update......
The Dirty Secret of the Madrassas
This is certainly one of the most horrific stories I've read lately about the dark side of the Religion of Peace(tm): Acid attack on boy who 'refused sex with Muslim cleric'. (Hat tip: Rand Simberg.) On his hospital bed last week, 16-year-old Abid Tanoli sat listless and alone, half of ... [little green footballs]

It's the economy, Mr. Kerry?
Kerry seems to think the number one issue is the economy. But with the economy growing, the GNP at it's highest in years, consumer confidence high, interest rates at record lows and jobless rates down, just what exactly do the Democrats have to offer?
Take away the tax cuts, take money out of your pockets, and more pie-in-the-sky social programs?
But poll any group of Democrats today, and they'll whine about the economy, how things are "so bad for the working man" and choose national security as the least important issue in the election.
They whine that the Bush tax cuts "only benefit the rich"....but the fact is that 96% of all income taxes are paid by the top 50% of wage-earners. People who make more income pay more taxes. POOR PEOPLE DON'T PAY INCOME TAXES.[democrats give conservatives indigestion]

The Bald One Nails It (Again)
Juliette unearthed an LA Times article about "peace activists" at work in Lost Angeles high schools, trying to dissuade young people from joining the military. Evidently, the activists claim that military recruiters lure young people in with tales of glory,... [suburban blight]

Useful Idiot
I'll start out by making no bones about the fact that I have very little regard for Mr. Willis' opinions. Mostly because I find his arguments to be ill considered, half-baked, misleading, and usually consisting of not much more than... [Silent Running]
Nothing more I can add other than bitch-slapping these people is a waste of time. I gave up many years ago rather than let it stress me out. I direct my efforts now toward those who can think for themselves and just need to get away from believeing what they hear on the evening news. Some success can be acheived by making these people realize that they are allowing their brains to be turned to mush by the network media. Once they catch on then my job is done because they can think for themselves and will continue in the right direction alone. The ones who have reached the point of no return are lost for all time. CP

Nothing New Under The (Democrats') Sun
Democratic front-runner John Kerry - whose campaign platform is most notable for its total lack of a platform - is raising questions about President Bush's military service in the National Guard during the Vietnam war. "Just because you get an honorable discharge does not in fact answer that question," the Massachusetts senator said. Kerry insisted he was not making a political issue of Bush's Vietnam-era... Al Qaeda Nukes
Pan-Arab newspaper al-Hayat reports that Al Qaeda possesses an unspecified number of suitcase nuclear weapons, purchased from Ukrainian scientists in 1998: Arab Newspaper Says Al Qaeda Has Ukrainian Nukes. There was no independent corroboration of the report, which appeared in the newspaper al-Hayat under an Islamabad dateline and cited sources ... [little green footballs]
I've posted about this before and I still say that if they exist, they either don't know how to use them, or they don't work. There is no way these insane people would have the necessary self-control to not have used one on Tel Aviv by now. Thats not to say that if they do have them they will not figure out how to make them work in the future. If they have them and they work, why would they go to all the time and trouble to do the 911 thing on NYC when one of these babies would have made a real statement? CP

This is all your fault
Okay, I admit this is ludicrous, and I am willing to go the whole libertarian route on drugs just as soon as we become libertarian in other policy adjuncts. For instance, as an employer I want the right to fire outright any employee who fucks up on the job, or pisses me off, or who the other employees can't stand. I want the right to see a job applicant's rap sheet, and the right to not hire him or her. I want the imprisonment or execution of anyone who commits a crime while under the influence of drugs. I want an absolute proscription against using public funds to treat drug addiction (yes, alcohol too). I want an absolute proscription against using public welfare to maintain any sorry ass's life what can't function because he's doing a 2 kilo doobie every day. I want 100% personal responsibility imposed on my actions. All of them. When you're ready to take responsibility for your own, then party on dude. Them are my terms. [Curmudgeonly & Skeptical]

Virus writers profiled
Benny, clean-cut and wide-eyed, has been writing viruses for five years, making him a veteran in the field at age 21. ''The main thing that I'm most proud of, and that no one else can say, is that I always come up with a new idea,'' he said, ushering me into a bedroom so neat that it looked as if he'd stacked his magazines using a ruler and level. ''Each worm shows something different, something new that hadn't been done before by anyone.'' [Boing Boing Blog]

Brian is gathering all the dirt on Kerry in one place at John Kerry for President? You must be joking.
Not as easy task since there is so much of it - dirt that is. Unfortunatly Brian is on BlogSplat and has no RSS feed so I won't have time to watch it. We will all have to work on getting Brian converted to a real Blog!
