Troy's Annual Easter Meditation [posted by FriarTroy] I was speaking with Father Swanson this weekend about the research into the historic Jesus. My interest was sparked after hearing John Dominic Crossan on NPR's Fresh Air. If anyone would like to hear a scholar speak about Mel Gibbson's film The Passion of the Christ, Crossan's views on this program (you'll need Real Player or Window's Media Player) are very enlightening. Crossan also authored this article entitled "Loosely Based on a True Story" in the liberal Jewish publication Tikkun.org. Dad loaned me one of Crossan's books to read, Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography. I'll give you my book report at another time. (Just for the record, Crossan's views do not necessarily represent the views held by me, Kim, my father, or George W. Bush.)

Who Knew? [posted by ZelderBar] Tomorrow marks the beginning of Egg Salad Week according to the national egg industry. This is much better than "Rabbit Stew Week."
