Where in the hell are we? [posted by ZelderBar] As our regular readers know, more and more of our friends are becoming parents. Actually our whole generation (Gen X?) is moving toward parenthood (nearly two-thirds of women ages 25 to 34, 65 percent, have had children, from American Demographic Jan 2002) and the baby boomers are heading toward grand-parenthood. To Gen X, the idea of equality between the genders is not a new idea. Feminism is old news (even if there is still some areas for improvement, such as pay scales and whatnot), but why are more and more of us deciding to stay home and raise families? According to the Washington Post, 69% of women 18-30 years old thought it'd be better for them to stay home with their children than work.
