Chicago froze over but not hell, Opening Day at Wrigley [Posted by Kim] I gave you guys a break from Cubs posts for a while, but sorry to say there will be more to come. Yesterday started out grand, I woke up a good 2 hours later than a usual Monday, got all decked out in my favorite cubbie gear (added a few layers underneath) and headed over to Wrigley for it's first game of the season. I even bought the first beer of the season at the upper deck consession stand... but you all know what happened next. Yes, it felt about 20 below and yes, Maddux let us all down. It was a very disheartening home opener, but it wasn't all bad, we did see them raise the 2003 NL central division champs flag (that may have been the most excitement of the game). Don't worry I haven't lost faith, they're just off to a rocky start and will pull things around. My brother will be back again tomorrow cheering 'em on. Go Cubbies!!!
