Cringe Open mouth, insert foot [posted by ZelderBar] Most of you won't believe this, but even I've been known to say things that are embarrassing. You may find this hard to believe, but it's true. Anyway, I thought I'd share an episode of This American Life entitled "Cringe." (Click on the blue box under the word "Episode" to play. You'll need real player.) This show is about the human reaction of cringing, giving us several examples that bring about this teeth-clenching instinct. There are three parts to this show. I would highly recommend listening to Act 3 on the interviews with the cast of M*A*S*H. Oh, it's painfully great! You may also want to visit This American Life's homepage.
