from "the woman of the house" (who also owns the house) [Posted by Kim Craig] I find it interesting that Men are writing about what women have fought for and where they've ended up. I still think we struggle for a respectful equality (definitely in a different way than before). These are just some of my observations and feelings as a “Gen X”er woman… no studies apply. We are invisible to the Joshes of the world... [posted by Troy]
I can't resist agreeing with Mr. Burns' April 20th post "A post for people who don't read blogs" (scroll down to April 20). I too have heard from a certain party in Davenport that blogs are "stupid." Of course, this party categorizes many such subjects under the "stupid" heading. Some of these subjects include but are not limitted too: Iowa, RAGBRAI, road biking, finishing bachelors degrees, day care, PDAs, neck ties, just to name a few things. Fine, if he refuses to create his own blog, then he can just not read ours in silence. Great.

Illinois Art Fair Directory [posted by ZelderBar] For those of you who like to browse sunny streets lined with tents of local artists peddaling their goods, this directory of Illinois art fairs is for you. If you see some art you dislike, perhaps this will come in handy.
