Tired with a capital "T" After church (yesterday morning), I watched the California NASCAR race and napped a bit to prepare for the long night and day (which was today) ahead of me. I started off to work at shortly after 10:00 PM Sunday evening and was on the road towards middle earth (mid-Wisconsin) by 11:00 PM.
My appointment was at 4:00 AM and I arrived about one-hour early. So I caught up on paperwork and rested a bit. Even after MochaTonix and coffee, I was a bit blurry-eyed by the time I parked the truck at the receiver. My next stop was about 40-minutes away. There wasn't much freight to be unloaded at either stop so after being unloaded at the 2nd stop, I was on the way back home.
Even after stopping for a large coffee right after getting on the interstate system, 20-minutes later I was seeing double so I had to pull over for a 45-minute nap. That was refreshing. I would have stayed napping longer but I wanted to get back to the warehouse before I ran out-of-hours for the day.
Tomorrow I'll be getting up early (2:30 AM) for an early Chicago area drop. Then I'll most likely get assigned something that will have me overnight somewhere before delivery in the morning. If not, I'll most likely be heading to Chicago again. I don't mind going to Chicago. However, there is no pay incentive for going to Chicago (not many miles = not a big pay check).
Later at home, I took another nap. I'll be crashing early tonight for a restful night's sleep.
miles driven = 425 (yesterday & today)
