2003 Denver Municipal Election
John Hickenlooper raised $2.1 million to become the new mayor of Denver according to the Rocky Mountain News. From the article, "The amount raised in the the mayoral race and other Denver municipal contests, including the auditor and 13 council races, shows campaign finance reform is needed in the Mile High City, said Pete Maysmith, director of Common Cause."
