2004 Presidential Election

Howard Dean's use of the Internet is certainly out in front of the other Democrats and the Republican for next year's race. Here's a link that Dean supporters can use to set up a personal website, in support of Dean, on Dean's nickel: Set up your own personal webpage on our website.

2003 Denver Mayoral Transition

Mayor-elect Hickenlooper has announced the members of the transition committees according to the Rocky Mountain News [July 8, 2003, Hickenlooper's transition committees]. Alas, Coyote Gulch was not named to help out the Mayor-elect.

The Rocky [July 8, 2003, Three aides to be announced] is also reporting that the Mayor-elect will announce his first three appointments today. City workers are eagerly awaiting the appointments. Some want to keep their current bosses and some are hoping for "new blood" and a change from the "tired old politics" of the past. (ed. A little post-election rehash of campaign rhetoric.)

Update:

Mayor-elect Hickenlooper announced the appointment of Michael Bennet as Chief of Staff, Lindy Eichenbaum Lent as Communications Director, and Happy Haynes as City Council Liason.
