Can we just all agree that invading Iraq *now* is 100% pure, grade A, wag-the-dog -- a last ditch effort to save Bush -- a deserter, a traitor, a crook -- from doing the hard time he jokingly promised his fellow Kleptocrats would face?

Why-ever would anyone suggest Katherine Harris should obey election laws? Pouty Democrats will soon point out she follows in the footsteps of herself, DICK Cheney, and a host of other thieving Republican bastards.
Florida law clearly states when a candidate must resign from public office. Katherine Harris is the Secretary of State, in charge of enforcing such laws. If she obeyed the law, that might give an appearance of propriety. The appearance of propriety must be avoided at all costs. It would be a misrepresentation, and could lead to charges that she was running under false pretenses.
It's also bad for one's social standing among the Kleptocrats to be caught obeying the law, even if accidentally.

"Executives in top US collapses made $3.3 billion." In other news, famous Alzheimer's victim Ronald Reagan once imagined that a welfare recipient bought an orange with foodstamps, and a bottle of vodka with the change. Little George is still trying to cut the guy off.

Sheesh! I go away for three weeks, and my parrot is still all "Regime change in Iraq. Regime change in Iraq. Brawk!" I should never have given him the remote. How I long for the days of "Pretty bird" and "Microsoft sucks".

Our grassroots movement to launch Dave Winer into orbit is picking up steam. The latest donation is from a guy in the "I want Dave off the planet, ASAP" category. Only $9,999,962.50 to go. We take donations via paypal. Please hurry, because space on the space station is limited (as strange as that might seem).
