"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

Campaign finance is easy to do right: every voter chooses how to distribute a fixed amount of money from the federal government. Corporations should be banned from political contributions. In the three or six months before elections, any non-commercial ad must be solely supported by campaign finance contributions. Corporations should have compliance officers to make sure there is no pressure or incentive on employees to donate to particular groups. A wealthy person distributes the same amount as a poor person. For fun, think about allowing only recent voters to distribute money.

First it was only non-citizens. Then it was only non-citizens and citizens caught in a war zone. Then it was only non-citizens, citizens caught in a war zone, and brown-skin citizens. The pattern is obvious. Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft & Company must go.

Go, Democrats.com! "...an investigation by Democrats.com has uncovered the possibility that one Harken transaction - the cancellation of an estimated $230,375 in debt in 1993 - may have been structured to help Mr. Bush evade income taxes. Democrats.com therefore calls upon Mr. Bush to release his tax returns for 1993 and 1994, and to provide the other documents required to fully understand this shady deal."

Day 286 of the man-hunt for Osama Bin Laden. George W. Bush had this to say: "Nice Democrat. Roll over. Play dead. Good Democrat!"

[3:19:59 PM]
Someone has to stop the INS. If a Democrat wants to be nominated for President, put a stop to this, damn it.

Why's it a "perp-walk"? It's a photo-op; a 100% gratuitous, staged event. These people turn themselves in. They go home within an hour. It's hilarious that FBI agents handcuff them and parade them in front of cameras. There's no pretending that the FBI is about fighting crime when they do these political stunts.

Almost took a job today, until I read the intellectual property clause: "All your thinkings are belong to us."

Speaking of BartCop.... File this one under link-whoring (a time-honored tradition).

Dr Laura does it again!

We at Licentious Radio (it's really just *me*) don't follow the tv or radio (the antenna kind), so we don't know from Dr. Laura. BartCop lives in Oklahoma and he has a tv and a radio, so he knows from. We'll trust BartCop on this one.

We're very much in favor of smiling, naked women -- in principle. The point of the Doc Laura pics, though, is the hypocricy.

Dear Doc, remember when you were young and beautiful and happy and optimistic? It could be that way again! Turn your back on the dark side. Onward and Upward! What one person can do is change the world and make it new again!
