"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

[10:57:57 AM]
A lovely day of news. The Snow Job is on. A Bush/Cheney appointee says Cheney doesn't have to reveal any notes about his conspiracy to increase profits for his energy buds.

Krugman says: "Might I suggest that this tells us something?" But is there a Democrat in the house? (One who will *fight*.) Still, it's a happy slap in Rove's face that no matter how much money and Bush and Cheney and racism he threw up on Louisiana, he got his sorry ass whipped. And yes, I'd like to think Lott helped.

Speaking of Lott.... What good is an apology? "I'm so sorry I accidentally spoke the true beliefs I base all my actions on in a situation where they would be reported in the media." Is that good enough for you Tom? One of the actual liberal biases of the media is that you can't be overtly racist. Lott just revealed his inner beauty. Pink tutu time? Or is there a Democrat in the house? (One who will *fight*!)

And speaking of too little too late, Mr. Snow was kind enough to end his membership in the infamous men-only golf club before taking his new Title. There's a guy who really stands for something.

And I'm guessing most people missed Rove's ploy to stall a Democratic appointee to the FEC until *after* the Republicans ripped another hole in campaign reform the size of Florida.

On the subject of fighting, who in Congress will insist that Bush fire his henchmen who were convicted of lying to Congress? I mean, so what if Poppy pardoned them so they wouldn't testify about Poppy's crimes? You get convicted of lying to Congress, and you just aren't allowed to be a political appointee any more.

I wanna see Pelosi and Boxer and Eschoo in ninja suits.
