"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

[11:13:07 AM]
History lesson of the week: "states' rights" was about the right of whites in southern states to deny civil liberties to non-whites, especially blacks. It's fundamentally about racism.

This is why it's no contradiction when racist-pig Ashcroft overrides California state laws and sends his stormtroopers after dying cancer victims who legally smoke and grow pot to reduce the constant, excruciating pain.

[11:01:11 AM]
Ari Fleischer: "Did I say 50 years? I meant 49 years, eight months, fourteen days."

So you see, Ari is a lot smarter than the Dimwit who forgot *all* about World War II.

[12:09:16 AM]
Very funny: Equal Time with Bob Boudelang [democraticunderground.com]: "And despite what Mrs. Rosenfeld says, Snow does not look like the Creature From the Black Lagoon. I do not know where she gets these ideas sometimes!"

You really have to see the pictures.
