News - Article in New York Times talks about Hollywood and TV inventing
fake futuristic gadgets, which in turn influence the real development of
similar gadgets:

Comment - Check out the Slide Show by scrolling down the right side of the
screen.
The article makes it seem like fake gee-whiz gadgets are a recent phenomenon
on TV, but you old readers may recall shows from our kid-hood like "The Man
From U.N.C.L.E." and "Mission Impossible" where cool gadgets were crucial to
the programs.
