This is one of those "why would anyone ever want to live anyplace else" pictures. Mt. Redoubt is an active volcano that last erupted in 1989-1990.

After yesterday's record setting deluge, we woke this morning to cold blue skies and totally white mountains. Absolutely stunning.

However, Peter really is mourning the passing of summer. He is so not ready for winter.

I, on the other hand, am totally psyched. This evening after work, Clem, Peter and I drove up to Arctic Valley to check out the season's first real snow. Boy, were we surprised - there was over a foot of snow. There were snowboarders and skiers all having a great time. The snow was so deep, we barely avoided getting stuck in the parking lot. What FUN!!!!!!!
