I just sent a plea to the New Yorker:
I have been a long time subscriber to the New Yorker and am thrilled that you guys are now on-line. However, it is maddening that past issues - even the previous week's issue are not on-line. There are two articles in the October 7th issue that I wanted to mention on my blog. Neither one - the Oliver Sacks article nor the Nicholas Lemann article - seem to be available.
Here's a little clue about New Yorker readership patterns. Very few of us get to read the issue the week it comes out. Instead we stockpile the magazines - sometimes for two to three weeks. And then in an orgy of Sunday afternoon perusing or airplane reading, we catch up on those back issues. And there's a ton of good stuff in those issues that I'd love to mention in my blog - but I can't link to the excerpts because you guys have pulled it from your site.
You guys have great great stuff - please make it available on-line. It can only help improve readership.
I will say that it is a godsend that all the cartoons are available.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Kesler

Business 2.0 likes the Sony Clie PEG NX-70V. As I stated in a previous entry, this puppy is my dream PDA. And, as usual with all the tech goodies I go bonko over, it's pricey: $750 with the wireless card. sigh...

Is this the dream series...or what? asks Peter Gammons regarding the Angels-Twins series. He is certainly relishing the juicy improbability of it all. Whoda thunk that the big market big money bags teams would have been vanquished the Twinkies and Angels? In his last paragraph, Gammons flings a great little zinger towards the Twins very evil owner.
The mind says Anaheim is the favorite, but every time I see Corey Koskie I believe the Twins cannot lose. This is owner Carl Pohlad's worst nightmare. For what he and MLB put these players through last winter, justice is the World Series in one of the two worst parks in baseball.
See Phil - I'm working hard to get that color commentary job!
