March To Extinction New York Times: AOL Time Warner faces the conundrum of digital media within its own divisions. Some good data points on the long, twilight struggle to keep TV out of the 21st century, including this one: "The satellite and cable companies say they are giving viewers what they want, but networks and studios sometimes feel they are being robbed." [Werblog]
Fantastic quote: "Some broadcast executives argue that people watch to relax: many viewers prefer to sit passively in front of whatever happens to on." Ah, well that would explain the crap content they put on the air. See why these dinosaurs need to be driven to extinction by competitive technology as soon as possible? 8:09:04 PM
