Just got into Silicon Valley. One thing
that I notice everytime I come down here: the traffic goes faster. In
Seattle it's not rare to see all three lanes traveling at the speed
limit or below (60 mph).
Here on the 101 coming from SFO to
Silicon Valley the entire freeway was doing more than 70, including a
Highway Patrol officer. [ Scobleizer: Microsoft Geek Blogger]
No kidding. Not a week goes by that the topic of speeding comes up
on my employer's internal discussion list. And it always generates
excess heat, no light. Good grief, what's the hurry? I wind up driving
over in the slow lane with the trucks, and we're still going 70. But
then I don't have to commute every day.
