Just a note to the MPAA, RIAA, and others who keep referring to infringers of copyright as "pirates," there are very real, very lethal, pirates out there:

Pirate Killings Hit 10-Year Global High (AP). AP - Pirates killed 30 seafarers worldwide in the first six months of the year ó the highest toll in more than a decade ó and governments need to boost patrols in dangerous regions to curb the violence, a maritime group said Sunday. [Yahoo! News - World]

Downloading music doesn't kill anyone.

Later: From the "be careful who you call a pirate" department--

Who's a Pirate? Russia Points Back at the U.S.. Russia asserts that the U.S. has been abetting intellectual-property pirates by purchasing thousands of knockoff Kalashnikov assault rifles. By By C. J. CHIVERS. [The New York Times > Home Page]

"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
The last time I posted this one, I mentioned having it on a t-shirt from Bookshop Santa Cruz. More recently, it appears on a bookmark I bought at the Museum Moderner Kunst (Museum of Modern Art) in Vienna. Yes, it's in English.
