PLEA: Bobby Wade, University of Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Associated Press reports Arizona wide receiver Bobby Wade pleaded innocent to three misdemeanor charges stemming from a fight outside a Scottsdale nightclub.

ARRESTED: James Harris, former NFL

PHILADELPHIA -- Associated Press reports a former defensive end for the Oakland Raiders was among 61 people arrested in a nationwide sweep of parents who authorities said failed to pay child support. James Harris, an NFL journeyman who played in 82 games from 1993-99, was arrested Wednesday in Chicago. Prosecutors said Harris owes $100,000 in child support for a son who lives in Pennsylvania.

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED: Michael Rumph, San Francisco 49ers

MIAMI -- Associated Press reports prosecutors ordered that San Francisco 49ers cornerback Michael Rumph be arrested after he failed to appear for an arraignment Thursday on a driving under the influence charge.

DENIAL: Alimzan Tokhtakhounov, Russian crime lord

VENICE, Italy -- Associated Press reports a reputed Russian mobster charged with fixing two figure skating events in the worst judging scandal in Olympics history insisted he knows nothing about the Salt Lake City Games and that the case against him is a "farce," his lawyer said after meeting with him Friday.
