SEATTLE -- Seattle Times reports coaches at the Division I basketball programs in eastern Washington will be interviewed today by NCAA officials regarding allegations of recruiting violations by Lorenzo Romar's new staff at Washington.

SUED: Derrick Rogers, Miami Dolphins
MIAMI -- Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins linebacker Derrick Rodgers is being sued for damages exceeding $15,000 by a man who claims the player hit him with a chair last month. The suit claims Rogers hit William Peguero with a chair and punched him in the face after Rogers found Peguero sitting in a fashionable Miami restuarant with Rogers' wife. Criminal charges have also been filed in the incident.

SENTENCED: Derek Watson, former NCAA football
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Associated Press reports former South Carolina running back Derek Watson began serving a 10-day jail sentence Monday after a judge ruled he had failed to perform community service related to a marijuana charge. Watson was led away in handcuffs from the Greenville Municipal courtroom after Judge Matt Hawley imposed the sentence.

ARRESTED: Darrell Russell, Oakland Raiders
CARSON CITY, Nev. -- Associated Press reports Oakland defensive lineman Darrell Russell, who is serving a one-year suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy and is also facing sexual assault charges, was arrested on suspicion of charges of drunken driving and speeding.
