Stars
As I look up into the night sky, I am always in wonder of its vastness and great distance. The stars shine ever so bright, twinkling, waxing and waning. I think about how far they are away...how the light we see has travelled millions of years just to each my eye at that very moment. And I wonder about other life that is out there perhaps, even staring simultaneously at our own star and thinking precisely the same thoughts about me. What other worlds are out there? What do they look like? Do colors appear the same? How about frangrances? Tastes? Are there vast oceans and deserts? Amazing how a tiny beam of light, millions of light years away, can cause the mind to journey there...in only seconds.
