Hurry, Hurry

Although today, I felt at great ease, I did however, notice people around me in a great hurry. Rushing here and there, past me in a whirlwind to some unknown destination. And I wondered just why they were making such haste. Perhaps it is due to the impending holiday and they have procrastinated a bit too long for that special gift. Maybe it's because they are absent-minded and have forgotten that the malls and roads are crowded beyond belief. Or just maybe, this is their typical "life pattern"...always in a rush, never planning and always late.Turtle_Soup While I am well aware of the closeness of the day, and readily admit to have done so myself...at times, I find this quite curious to watch from a distance. I wonder whether these people can "see" themselves? Do they know what they are doing? Where are they going so fast? Sometimes, I think we need to relax, gain some perspective and realize that we must slow down and enjoy the here and now.

Today's Quote:

The greatest assassin of life is haste, the desire to reach things before the right time which means overreaching them.-Juan Ramon Jimenez
