Happiness
Today I am thinking about "happiness". That ethereal place we strive to attain at all costs. For some, this is prestige and fame, while others define it as something tangible that they hold in their hands...a new car, home or other such trinkets. While these things MAY seem to make one "happy", is this true "happiness"? If you lose those things are you doomed to eternal UNhappiness? Do only objects and someone elses opinions render happiness as a by-product? I suppose that if you were to ask a hundred different people to define "happiness" you may well discover nearly one hundred different answers. As for myself, I would like to think of "happiness" as a journey not the destination. Certainly we all cannot be blissfully "happy" all the time and who would want that anyway? Rather, you should seek happiness as a state of mind and not some purchased souvenir to be merely tossed in a closet when the shelves get full. In other words..."Enjoy the ride and skip the snowglobe".
