Cup Of Comfort
Have you ever found yourself in an unusual location but somehow, felt so at ease and welcomed that any idea of distress simply melts away? I guess that is how I felt during my recent trip when I frequented the local Starbuck's Coffee Houses. The familiar sign of the green and white mermaid and her stars seemed to beckon one like the siren call from the sea. The aroma of the ever brewing roasted beans filled the air inside and out while the typical patrons sat around discussing familiar topics and reading their morning newspapers. And how lucky was I, to more than once, secure one of those large overstuffed chairs which are strategically placed along the back wall looking out towards the entrance where I could take notice of the comings and goings. There seems to be a comfort level unlike others when one can sit quietly, sipping a nice, warm, white chocolate mocha and simply watch the world go by unhurridly. Even the views from within the cafe abound with colors and textures, albeit, the stores typical cups, gizmos and pre-packed offerings. I suppose it is this very reason of "comfort" rather than any particular special "bean flavor", that this company has done so well and prospered. And it doesn't hurt that you can find one on nearly every corner in any fair sized city of the world. When one feels "at home", especially when "away", you get that sense of well-being...and perhaps...this is precisely the best "selling" product that they produce!
